Sergio’s is one of my favorite takeout spots in Astoria for cheap, quick, and delicious Italian food. Never been inside so I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but always reliable for a quick chicken hero or square slice.
Just note: they close at 5pm daily, so don’t expect to get any dinner deliveries from them.
I’m not one to write home about salads (or even order them in the first place) but this Caesar salad was on point. I’ve ordered it a few times after, in fact.
The strombolis here are phenomenal and I think everyone nearby knows this already (so I’m not even worried about putting them on blast). The mix of different cheese and meats blend wonderfully with the perfectly cooked pasta dough. 10/10 it’s in every one of my orders.
Their Chicken Parm was just as delicious. I’m not even just gassing them up at this point. Tenderly breaded chicken slices mixed with a tangy marinara sauce with pasta and smothered in mozzarella cheese – I can’t see anything else you’d need.
Order early, and order lots. You’ll definitely want to reheat up their food later.
