New Year, New Me! JK – same shit, same me. I have, and always will, love me some legit NYC bagels. And trust me, it really does make a difference that it is a legit NYC bagel. We’ve all heard the stories, where the bagel-makers lend the extra flavor into their craft via the city tap water, boiling techniques, and.. the MTA Subway? The more that I think of it, I’d honestly rather not to know why they’re so tasty.


What’s more NYC than a lox bagel with a schmear? Cured salmon, scallion cream cheese, on a toasted everything bagel just makes me start to tawk like a New Yawkuh (which coincidentally also happens when I drink too much wine).


Besides a lox bagel, the OG in NYC still remains the bekkeneggcheez. Also known as the bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted bread of your choice. As much of a traditionalist I try to be, a bacon-egg-sausage-on-a-toasted-whole-wheat-everything-bagel is more my style, which is pictured here.
