A quick ten-minute Uber ride from New Haven brings you to this beautiful brewery in Branford, CT. The multi-story building houses a massive tap room and deck alongside the brewery itself. Honestly the building is impressive on its own, set right against the river dock.
We were met with Norman MacDonald, the Tap Room Manager, who promptly set us up with some flights to try out.
We were pleasantly surprised at how many IPAs were on tap, being one of our favorite types of beer.
Norman took us on a little tour of the grounds. To come along with us, I opted for one of the IPAs, while my boyfriend tried the Beermosa.
I can imagine on a warm summer day how refreshing it’d be to sip on one these outside. Stony Creek sourced these specific cold-pressed juices for their beer-cocktails.
I mean like, how perfect is this view?
Although it was a pretty cool April day when we went, there were still quite a few people hanging outside the brewery. It picked up much later in the day after I took this photo even.
Again, it was pretty chilly (and early) when we went, but I’m sure this area is jam packed in the heat of the summer. Both levels of the building have this beautiful wrap around deck.
This room located on the second floor would be so perfect for any type of private event.
After our walk through the tap room, Norman took us on a private tour through the actually brewery.
We didn’t realize how huge this part of the building was – you definitely couldn’t tell from the outside alone. Look at those pallets stacked almost to the ceiling with beer cans.
We went through the whole brewing process and even got a peak in their humongous storage refrigerator.
Overall an amazing time at a new favorite place to visit when we’re in the area.
Check out our food from Shoreline Food Truck we had after our beer-filled breakfast.
